George Washington Would Like To Have A Word With You, Again.

Posted on 19 August 2010 by hearus

This is something we’ve posted before, but some messages are worth the repeating from time to time. Gwash

In reaction to the Congressional approval of the Declaration of Independence, George Washington issued the following orders.

The time is now near at hand which must probably determine whether Americans are to be freemen or slaves, whether they are to have property they can call their own, whether their houses and farms are to be pillaged and destroyed, and they consigned to a state of wretchedness from which no human efforts will probably deliver them.

The fate of unborn millions will now depend, under God, on the courage and conduct of this army.

Our cruel and unrelenting enemy leaves us no choice but a brave resistance or the most abject submission. This is all we can expect. We have therefore to resolve to conquer or die.

Our country’s honor calls upon us for a vigorous and manly exertion, and if we now shamefully fail we shall become infamous to the whole world.

Let us therefore rely upon the goodness of the cause, and the aid of the Supreme Being in whose hands victory is, to animate and encourage us to great and noble actions.

The eye’s of all our countrymen are upon us, and we shall have their blessings and praises if, happily, we are the instrument of saving them from the tyranny mediated against them.

Let us therefore animate and encourage each other and show the whole world that a freeman contending for Liberty on his own ground is superior to any slavish mercenary on earth.

General George Washington, 1776

November 2nd is, as George Washington put it, near at hand.

In understand fully that the context of this message was of a newly birthed nation which was in a physical conflict with an oppressor and that we are not now in such a physical conflict with those who wish to oppress us.

I however, also understand that we are in a very real conflict and that what is before us is in fact no less a struggle for freedom and liberty than was that which loomed before those who founded this nation.

Are you to be a freeman or a slave?

Are your children to be freemen or slaves?

The fate of this nation does indeed depend upon your courage, your willingness to sacrifice time and resources, your willingness to do the right thing as well as your personal conduct and our collective conduct.

I assure you, that you have something to offer and that you are needed in this task that is before us.

If you are unwilling to give of yourself then the fight is lost, it is going to take all of us.

Not only are your fellow Americans watching us, the whole of the world is watching us.

Other nations have predicted the demise of this nation and the death watch has begun, we can and should prove them wrong. We can demonstrate to them that we will neither hand over our freedom nor allow it to be stolen from us.

In all the years previous we have indeed made a difference, a negative difference, by electing men and women void of character.

By electing men and women who had no care or concern for your freedoms as an individual but their own power instead.

By allowing those men and women, once exposed, to remain indefinitely in elected office. By accepting the liberty stealing and slavish laws they implement.

The fault is ours, but this is the year when we can begin to redeem ourselves and take back the future of our children and preserve what our founders and so many since them had sacrificed so greatly for.

There are many good Tea Party and 9.12 Project groups in Colorado and around the nation.

Find one here and join with them or even begin your own.

You have something to offer, you are absolutely needed and, if you have not been, it is time you became involved.

Find your candidate, support them with your time, talent and money.

Will You Stand With Him Or Will You Push Back?

Posted on 14 June 2010 by hearus

This AM I received my regular bit of Obama propaganda.

Barack would like to know if I will stand with him.

pushpull

Stand with him in not missing the opportunity to exploit a crisis and use it as excuse to further an agenda.

In this case, an anti-liberty agenda.

bomamail

The BP oil spill in the Gulf Coast is the worst environmental disaster of its kind in our nation’s history. I am returning to the region today to review our efforts and meet with families and business owners affected by the catastrophe.

We are working to hold BP accountable for the damage to the lands and the livelihoods of the Gulf Coast, and we are taking strong precautions to make certain a spill like this never happens again.

But our work will not end with this crisis. That’s one of the reasons why last week I invited lawmakers from both parties to join me at the White House to discuss what it will take to move forward on legislation to promote a new economy powered by green jobs, combat climate change, and end our dependence on foreign oil.

Today, we consume more than 20 percent of the world’s oil, but have less than two percent of the world’s oil reserves. Beyond the risks inherent in drilling four miles beneath the surface of the Earth, our dependence on oil means that we will continue to send billions of dollars of our hard-earned wealth to other countries every month — including many in dangerous and unstable regions.

In other words, our continued dependence on fossil fuels will jeopardize our national security. It will smother our planet. And it will continue to put our economy and our environment at risk. We cannot delay any longer, and that is why I am asking for your help.

Please stand with me today in backing clean energy. Adding your name will help Organizing for America create a powerful, public display of support for making this change happen.

The time has come, once and for all, for this nation to fully embrace a new future. That means continuing our unprecedented effort to make everything — from our homes and businesses to our cars and trucks — more energy-efficient. It means rolling back billions of dollars of tax breaks to oil companies so we can prioritize investments in clean energy research and development.

Many businesses support this agenda because shifting to clean energy creates opportunities for entrepreneurship. This is how we will reinvent our economy — and create new companies and new jobs all across the country.

There will be transition costs and a time of adjustment. But if we refuse to heed the warnings from the disaster in the Gulf — we will have missed our best chance to seize the clean-energy future we know America needs to thrive in the years and decades to come.

The House of Representatives has already passed a comprehensive energy and climate bill, and there is currently a plan in the Senate — a plan that was developed with ideas from Democrats and Republicans — that would achieve the same goal. But this is an issue that Washington has long ignored in favor of protecting the status quo.
So I’m asking for your help today to show that the American people are ready for a clean-energy future.

As we knew the administration would, they will not let this oil spill go unexploited.

In fairness, very few elected politicians would let such a thing go by without exploiting it for their own political gain.

And now, the push will begin.

Will you push back?

This federal government can have it’s stubby little fingers poking into every aspect of your life with healthcare and a so called, green economy.

If you haven’t before, you had better consider the fact that at some point, soon, you will have to decide if you are going to stand up and slap back at the over reaching hand of this government or lay down on your back like a helpless turtle.

The shocking, unexpected government is the one in Washington

Posted on 11 June 2010 by hearus

Elected officials need to pay attention to this message when considering legislation.

Voters, we need to pay attention to this message when considering who we support in an election and when considering the future of this nation and the condition it will be in when we hand it over to our children.

money

It’s common sense that’s disappeared from Washington, DC.

The shocking, unexpected government is the one in Washington. That’s where we get surprises everyday. That’s where taxes are change every five minutes.

Is there a business man or media person in America that doesn’t think, that isn’t frightened about the next crazy idea from Washington?

Everything is cuckoo and God knows what’s next.

We are on our way to Greece. In the hands of a confused and foolish government […]

There’s a sense in the land of discomfort.

There’s a sense of fear that the politicians are are ruining us. And the people are right, it’s got to stop.

Equality In The Restroom – Your Federal Tax Dollars At Work

Posted on 12 May 2010 by hearus

HT Jon Caldera via his 850 KOA show.

From time to time the federal government acts responsibly with your tax dollars (or so I hear).

The following is NOT an example of federal responsibility.

yourmoney

Washington Post

‘Potty Parity Act’ seeks restroom equality in federal buildings

Lawmakers concerned about a shortage of women’s restrooms in federal buildings introduced the “Potty Parity Act” on Thursday to ensure equal access for men and women in future federal buildings and in facilities leased by the government.

Democrats and Republicans on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee hope to establish an equal number of toilets for men and women at government buildings. They note that some private employers have laid off women instead of expanding facilities.

I’d be interested in knowing just how many women were laid off because their employer had to few toilets.

Unemployment is at 9.9%, the deficit is scary enough to give the clown from “IT” nightmares, a drug war wages along our border.

While the government will take no sound and reasoned steps to deal with those issues… they will make darn sure you can pee when you have to.

Representative Edolphus Towns (D-NY) and, sadly, Representative Darrell Issa (R-CA) have chosen to wage war against the injustice of Americans possibly having to hold their water until the next toilet becomes available.

“Our nation’s history shows that the structure and accessibility of American public restrooms have served as manifestations of more deeply rooted problems of discrimination, among race, physical ability and gender,” Towns said in a statement. “In 2010, we must move the clock forward by finally addressing an overdue problem of unequal, inadequate and inaccessible public restrooms for women.”

Clearly then, opposition to this act can come only from those long steeped in acts of discrimination.
