Colorado, You Can Fight Obama Care

Posted on 29 June 2010 by hearus

The most frequent question I’ve gotten since being involved in the Tea Party is, “what can I do”. hellno

Well, here is one concrete and simple way to get involved.

The Independence Institute and it’s president, Jon Caldara have put forward a proposed amendment to the Colorado Constitution which, if enacted, would secure freedom of health care in the state of Colorado.

A number of people and grassroots organizations have joined with the Independence Institute in this fight.

One of those persons is Colorado Springs super patriot mom, Michelle Morin.

She has set up a website expressly meant to make it easy for YOU to help Colorado fight and resist Obama Care.

Visit the site, join the fight.

You ARE needed, you CAN make a difference.

While our little “I Refuse Campaign” never really got off the ground, our postcard has been very popular.

It’s been downloaded thousands of times from all across the nation.

Many people have emailed me and told me they have used it in various ways. From sending it to their various elected officials to using it as a tool to start conversation with those who blindly support socialized health care.

Click on the above image to download the PDF and print it if you believe you can make use of it.

Hear Us Now!
Denver, Colorado
March 22, 2010

John W. Suthers
Colorado Attorney General
1525 Sherman St.
Denver, Co 80203

Attention John W. Suthers:
As you are certainly well aware, on March 21st, 2010 the United States House of Representatives
passed the Senate Health Care Reform Bill and it now awaits the signature of President Barack
Obama.

It is our contention that this bill is an assault on the United States Constitution and that it is an
infringement upon state sovereignty, specifically the sovereignty of the State of Colorado.

Congress has reached far beyond their constitutional authority attempting to use the cover of the
Commerce Clause to impose their mandates upon the individual citizens and businesses of
Colorado.

We ask that you join the at least 12 other states and file suit the second Barack Obama signs this
unconstitutional legislation.

Hear Us Now stands prepared to support you and your office in this endeavor in any and all ways.

Constitutionally yours,

Keith W. Peterson

Targeting Health Care Reform Swing Votes

Posted on 09 March 2010 by hearus

There is a good list of Health Care reform swing votes for us to target and pressure in a ‘Daily Caller’ article today.

I’ve copied and pasted those swing votes into this blog entry.

If we can hold these fools off until Easter break, we will then be able to pressure many of them in person.

As you are able, write, call, email, fax.
The more of us they hear from, the more pressure they feel.

Many of you already know of the I Refuse postcard, which is good option also.
Many thousands have been downloaded since mid January of this year.

#1 The Stupak gang: (as noted in the article, it would be near impossible for HCR to pass if this bloc of 14 persons were to vote ‘No’.)

Rep. Joseph Cao – http://josephcao.house.gov
Dale Kildee – http://www.house.gov/kildee
Jim Oberstar – http://oberstar.house.gov
Charlie Wilson – http://www.charliewilson.house.gov

Bill Foster – http://foster.house.gov
Dan Lipinski – http://www.lipinski.house.gov
Kathy Dahlkemper – http://www.dahlkemper.house.gov
Jerry Costello – http://costello.house.gov
Joe Donnelly – http://donnelly.house.gov
Chris Carney – http://carney.house.gov
Solomon Ortiz – http://ortiz.house.gov

#2 Possible vote switchers: The following 16 voted ‘No’ the first time around but are currently under pressure from their leadership to switch their vote to ‘Yes’.

They need to feel the pressure from the American people more than the pressure from their leadership.

Betsy Markey – http://betsymarkey.house.gov

I Refuse Postcard

Posted on 12 January 2010 by hearus

Nationalized, mandated health care is on it’s way.
I, myself, refuse to take part in a socialized medical program and intend to let my representatives know this.

I have so far done so by way of phone calls and email, I will also be sending to them a post card I created which you too can send by downloading it here.

HC

I am not a fool, I do not expect that my phone calls, emails, letters and postcards are going to stop nationalized health care or anything else. It seems clear that our elected officials have no intention of listening to myself or you.

My intention with this particular postcard is not to stop nationalized health care, it is simply to let my elected officials know that I challenge their authority to “reform” health care and to mandate that I take part in their scheme.

The image below is small version of the postcard (the actual postcard has a much better resolution).

I’ve used Kinkos online printing

Kinkos will print no less than two postcards at a time, the cost of two postcards from the ‘saver’ package is $2.73

When you finalize your print order you can leave instructions to add to the backside a normal post card backing. This would add .37 cents per card, to your order.

I do not believe it is necessary to have the traditional postcard backing printed.

Simply placing the stamp, address, return address and short personal message in the traditional locations should suffice.

Please join me in this campaign to let our elected officials know that the American people will not just lay down and accept their abuse of the Constitution and their theft of individual freedom and liberty.

Please also pass this along to your friends.
