The most frequent question I’ve gotten since being involved in the Tea Party is, “what can I do”.

Well, here is one concrete and simple way to get involved.

The Independence Institute and it’s president, Jon Caldara have put forward a proposed amendment to the Colorado Constitution which, if enacted, would secure freedom of health care in the state of Colorado.

A number of people and grassroots organizations have joined with the Independence Institute in this fight.

One of those persons is Colorado Springs super patriot mom, Michelle Morin.

She has set up a website expressly meant to make it easy for YOU to help Colorado fight and resist Obama Care.

You ARE needed, you CAN make a difference.

While our little “I Refuse Campaign” never really got off the ground, our postcard has been very popular.

It’s been downloaded thousands of times from all across the nation.

Many people have emailed me and told me they have used it in various ways. From sending it to their various elected officials to using it as a tool to start conversation with those who blindly support socialized health care.

There is a good list of Health Care reform swing votes for us to target and pressure in a ‘Daily Caller’ article today. I’ve copied and pasted those swing votes into this blog entry. If we can hold these fools off until Easter break, we will then be able to pressure many of them in person.

As you are able, write, call, email, fax.
The more of us they hear from, the more pressure they feel.

Many of you already know of the I Refuse postcard, which is good option also.

There is now some information coming out about a ‘Pro’ health care rally which will take place at the State Capitol  also on July 28th at 6:00 PM.
This rally is apparently being organized by ‘Organizing for America’, the Obama machinery.

The Tea Party of Northern Colorado is organizing a counter protest.
If you can make it to both the Independence Institutes rally and the counter protest at 6:00 PM I would encourage you to do so.
Organizing for America has begun their ‘one month sprint on health care’ and they will begin to push like we’ve not yet seen.

If we do not push back, if we do not slow their ‘sprint’ to a crawl we risk being over taken by socialized medicine.

Hear Us Now encourages all who are able to join the Independence Institute at their rally and the Tea Party of Northern Colorado for their counter protest.

Next Tuesday, July 28th at 6:00 pm, Obama has rallied his own troops to fight against our efforts to stop this obscene healthcare overhaul.  "Organizing for America", a so-called grassroots effort backed by the president himself, will be holding a pro-socialized medicine rally on the west steps of the State Capitol in Denver. 

The Tea Party of Northern Colorado will be holding a counter-protest in order to make it evidently clear that we are here in full force and we are serious.  Please join us, your fellow Tea Party Patriots, and local 9-12-ers at 6:00 pm on the sidewalks near the corner of Colfax and Lincoln (the NW corner of the capitol), then we will spread out along the sidewalks and share our message with passers-by.  Please bring your healthcare-related signs, your flags or just your unbreakable spirit, and join your fellow concerned citizens as the silent majority stands united.

 
This counter-protest is vital.  Not only is it vital to killing this healthcare legislation, but we must send a personal message.  We will not go away.  We will not give up.  Even when Obama himself pushes back.  This protest will receive plenty of press coverage, being Obama is the puppeteer of the media.  Our turnout needs to be larger than theirs, and I must emphasize, every single person makes a big difference.  Check out this great article regarding the Dallas Tea Party and their counter-protest: Anti-Obamacare Tea Party Swamps MoveOn Rally.

The Independence Institute will be holding two rallies related to the government push for nationalized health care.
The first will be held July 28th (this coming Tuesday) 11:30 AM-12:30 PM at the Colorado State Capitol.

The second will be held the following day, July 29th in Colorado Springs, 11:30-12:30 PM at Acacia Park. 115 E. Platte Avenue Colorado Springs.
Just because Scary Harry Reid has said no vote will come until the fall session does not mean it is time to breath a sigh of relief.

It simply means more time for us to inform more people as to the truth of nationalized health care, what it is, what it means. It also presents us more time to contact our various representatives and continue to pressure them.

Washington D.C. has noticed our Tea Parties, they can notice this as well.
